LEONARD BROWN ALLEE

Leonard Brown Allee, son of Riley Allee and his wife Ella Macy Allee, was born near Searsboro, Nov, 6, 1880. He died Sept. 16, 1956 at his home in Grinnell.

He was united in marriage to Bessie Ives on March 28, 1900. Five children were born to this union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Abbie in 1902, Mrs. Lexie Dearinger in 1918 and a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Mendelsohn in 1942. Survivors include Winnifred of Cambridge, Mass.; Wameta of Philadelphia; Gwendolyn of Grinnell; Ovau of Marion, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Allee enjoyed good health apparently until his recent stroke July 5.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Friends church near Searsboro. Burial was at Lynnville.
