Services Held for Mrs. Otho Sanders Last Thursday

B: January 3, 1876; D: May 18, 1943)

Funeral services for Mrs. Otho Sanders were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the local Methodist Church. The Rev. Delbert Rose of Oskaloosa, the Rev. R. L. Carlson of Barnes City, and the Rev. Scott Pyle of Cedar Rapids conducted the services, with burial in the local cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Sanders, Cliff Meldrem, Ben Sanders, Everett Johnston, Ross Morrison, and Chas. Gillespie. Mrs. R. L. Carlson of Barnes City and Miss Miriam Daniel of Oskaloosa, accompanied at the organ by Miss Alice Underwood, sang "Will The Circle Be Unbroken", "I Need Thee Every Hour," and "The Last Mile of the Way."
Mrs. Sanders had spent her entire life in Poweshiek County and passed away last Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Ladely, with whom she had been making her home.

Frances Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of James and Dorcas Johnston, was born June 3, 1875, in Lincoln Township, Poweshiek County and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ladely, May 18, 1943 at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 14 days.
