PAUL HOLTZ SERVICES HELD
Paul C. Holtz, 63, of 1127 Main St. died Sunday afternoon (Feb. 24) at Grinnell General Hospital.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Peach United Church of Dysart, with the Rev. Robert H.Opperman officiating. Organist was Eleanor Woolsey. Burial was at the Dysart Cemetery following cremation.

The son of Albert and Elizabeth Gleim Holtz, he was born Aug. 9, 1916, at Dysart. He was a graduate of Dysart High School and later attended Drake University for one year.
On Nov. 30, 1938, he was married to Dorothy Hink at Nashua. Following their marriage they farmed near Dysart for 22 years. Mr. Holtz was forced to retire from farming because of poor health, and they moved to Waterloo where he worked for the John Deere Co. for seven years. They moved to Grinnell in 1966.
From 1966 to 1975, Mr. Holtz was associated with his father-in-law, the late Charles Hink, in government-related work. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Eagles Club.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Mrs. Dean (Susan) Witwer of Cedar Falls, Charles Holtz of Nuremburg, West Germany, and Mrs. Charles (Christie) Smith of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Holtz of Arcadia, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents.
