RITES FRIDAY FOR JEAN FRITZ

Jean Frances Fritz, 54, of Tujunga, Calilf., a former Grinnell resident, died Tuesday morning (July 15) at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, Calif.

The daughter of Hubert O. and Mae Louise Clynch Brown, Mrs. Fritz was born June 2, 1921, in Grinnell. She attended the Grinnell schools and graduated from Grinnell high school in 1938.

On Dec. 2, 1945, she was married to *Norman R. Fritz in Des Moines. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz lived in Des Moines until 1962 when they moved to California.

Survivors include her husband, Norman; six children--Dan E. Slagle of Grinnell, William G. Slagle of Des Moines, Mrs. Tony (Marsha) Sanchez of Sunland, Calif., Mrs. Edward (Deloris) Miller of LaCresenta, Calif., and Mrs. Don (Jackie) Jennings and Mrs. Don (Patricia) Sanders of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Fritz was preceded in death by her father in 1946, her mother in 1970 and one brother, Maurice Brown.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fritz will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (July 18) at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh A. Shiveley, pastor of the Grinnell First Baptist Church, officiating.

Casketbearers will be Warren Carrington, Larry Coleman, John Nornocker, Albert Sanders, Jim Sanders and Gene Wailes.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home after 5 .m. today.
