MRS. IDA SCURR OF GILMAN DIED MONDAY; FUNERAL HELD TODAY

Mrs. Ida Eunice Scurr, of Gilman, widow of Joseph Harry Scurr, died suddenly Monday evening in a Grinnell hospital. She had undergone a series of operations since breaking her hip several years ago. A member of a prominent Gilman family, Mrs. Scurr had attained the age of 75 years, 7 months and 10 days.

She was born in Greencastle township, Marshall county, Dec. 17, 1877, the daugher of Ambrose and America Jane Watson Clark. She was married in Gilman in 1899.

She is survived by two sons, Clark Scurr of Grinnell and James William R. Scurr of Chicago and one daughter, Susan, of New Wilmington, Pa.; also one brother, Walter Clark of Gresham, Oregon.

She was a member of the Gilman Community church, the Farm Bureau, the Eastern Star and the Gilman Womans club.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Gilman Community church in charge of the pastor, Rev. Wendell A. Henline. Organ selections were played by Mrs. Esther Parker. Flower bearers were Mrs. Nettie Crandon, Mrs. Laura Frankforth and Mrs. Florence Hollingsworth. Pallbearers were Elmer Bru, Earl Gustason, James Hollingsworth, John Ramsey, Gerald Rankin and Denver Walker. Interment was in Prairie View cemetery in Gilman.
