FUNERAL RITES FOR ED HOTCHKIN, 64, HELD HERE TODAY

Funeral services for Edward Hotchkin, 64, were held this (Monday) morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, conducted by Rev. Vincent A. Walsh. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.

Hotchkin, born in Jasper county, Feb. 13, 1889, passed away at a local hospital Thursday night following a lingering illness. Rosary was recited at James funeral home Sunday evening.

Pallbearers at the services were John Hotchkin, Jerry Hotchkin, Joe Hotchkin, W.A. Flanagan, Charles Kelly and Wm. Comerford.

Survivors are his wife, Rosa; a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Scheaffer of Ottumwa; two sons, L.F. Hotchkin of Orange, Calif., and Wm. Hotchkin of Laguna, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Wm. Devereux of Adair; four brothers, William and Vincent of Grinnell, Charles of Kellogg, and Odo of Fairfield, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
