MR. ANDERSON RITES ARE HELD

Eldon M. "Andy" Anderson, 70, Waukee, formerly of Grinnell, died Dec. 9 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, of congestive heart failure.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, at McLaren's Funearl Home, West Des Moines, with Pastor James Carstensen, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waukee, officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines.

He was born April 19, 1917, in Grinnell, the son of Fred and Myrtle Chase Anderson. He attended school here, graduating from Grinnell High School. He served in the United States Air Force in World War II and lived in Des Moines most of his life where he was the owner of Andy's Pizza House. He was married to Elaine Amonson. He was a member of the American Legion in Grimes. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson had moved to Waukee seven years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine, Waukee; one son, Fred, Urbandale; two daughters, Linda Anderson, Chicago, Ill., and Judy Harms, Waukee; three grandsons; and two sisters, Corinne Neal, Des Moines, and Vivian Dory, Salem, Ore.
