DIED
------
H.S. CHASE

H.S. Chase, one of Grinnell's old soldiers, died at his home, 1111 Hamilton avenue, at noon today. When Memorial Day comes there will be one more soldier's grave to be decorated by sorrowing comrades. Mr. Chase was a faithful employe of the glove factory. He had been working right along and had been in his usual health, apparently, but yesterday morning he complained of a pain in his chest and quit work. He was taken home in an automobile and after his arrival there grew worse until the end. Neuralgia of the heart was the cause of death. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Christian church. Arrangements are in charge of his comrades of the G.A.R.
