MRS. ANDERSON NATIVE HERE, DIES FRIDAY

Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, native of Poweshiek county and resident of the Grinnell community most of her lifetime, died at a hospital at Des Moines on Friday, Nov. 26. She was 61 years old.

Funeral services were held this afternoon, Monday, from James Funeral Home with Rev. John DeLong, pastor of the Methodist church officiating.

Daughter of George and Estella Chase, Mrs. Anderson was born in Poweshiek county, Dec. 21, 1892. She had lived in the Grinnell community until ten years ago when she moved to Des Moines following death of her husband, Fred J. Anderson.

Surviving are a son, Eldon Anderson of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Neal of Des Moines and Mrs. Vivian Vanderwail of Salem, Ore.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Niester and Miss Josephine Chase, both of Grinnell.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents and two brothers.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery with James Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

At the final rites, casket bearers were Delmar Niester, Duane Niester, Leonard Chase, Grant Ohland, Donald Anderson and Paul Anderson.
