MRS. KRIEGEL'S RITES THURSDAY

Alice Emmert Kriegel, 45, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Grinnell, died Monday, Nov. 7, at her home.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Nov. 10, at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Peters, pastor of the Kellogg United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Margaret Wheeler. Pallbearers were Curt Kriegel, Larry Iverson, Roger Iverson, Rick Peters, Pete Ross and Dave Waskow. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials have been established at Hospice Mercy and the College Community Athletic Fund, both in Cedar Rapids.

The daughter of Everett and Elizbeth Davis Emmert, she was born April 27, 1943, in Marshalltown. She attended rural Grinnell schools including Grant No. 5 and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1961. She attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She was married to Carroll E. Kriegel in Grinnell Dec.21, 1962. Following their marriage the Kriegels resided in Grinnell and Des Moines before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1969. She was a computer and key punch operator for Thorac Company and Vector Corporation, both in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her husband Carroll, Cedar Rapids; two daughters Tricia and Mary Beth, both of Cedar Rapids; her mother Elizabeth Emmert, Grinnell, and two sisters Marilyn Iverson, Malcom, and Carol Peters, Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her father.
