BETSY ELIZABETH FOLLOWS OSBORN

Betsy Elizabeth Follows Osborn was born December 20, 1820 and died December 20, 1901, age 81. Born near Birmingham, Worcestershire, England. She joined the Episcopal church in childhood of which she has been a constant member.

She was united in marriage with Samuel Osborn, who preceded her to the better world in or near 1856. To this union three children were born, Frederick, Amy and Samuel, all of whom survive her with the exception of Amy, who died August 22, 1878. With Amy and Samuel she came to America in May, 1873.

She received a stroke of apoplexy August 1, 1901, from which she never fully recovered. She always looked on the bright side and never uttered a word of complaint.

The surviving children mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent mother and look forward to a reunion in the better world to come.

The funeral services were conducted from the house Sunday afternoon by the Rev. E.M. Vittum.
