FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MRS. JULIA BICKFORD

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Bickford were conducted last Friday afternoon at two o'clock at Bramer Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. George Roquet, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Ed Bartachek was organist.

Interment was in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom with the following serving as pallbearers: Jesse Bunnell, E.L. Montgomery, J.L. McCluskey, R.J. Roudabush, Maynard McLain and Raymond Montgomery. Flower attendants were Mrs. Jesse Bunnell, Mrs. Ramona Montgomery and Mrs. Anna Sorensen.

Julia May Bickford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hulbert Lyke, was born April 27, 1878, in Poweshiek county and died April 20, 1966, in University Hospitals in Iowa City where she had been a patient about a month.

Mrs. Bickford had lived in Brooklyn for over 58 years. Her husband, John Bickford, died in 1945. For over 40 years, Mrs. Bickford had sung in the choir at the Presbyterian church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.Lorene Coon of Riverside, Calif.; two sons, Clarence Bickford of Cedar Rapids and Selden Bickford of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Dr. Myrtle Greene of Vista, Calif.; two brothers, Dr. Selden Lyke of Newton and Floren Lyke of Mason City; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
