DON LARUE AUDAS, 73
Don LaRue Audas, 73, of Sigourney and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at the home of his daughter in rural Sigourney.
He was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Brooklyn to Frank and Irene Dayton Audas. He graduated from Brooklyn High School. He was employed at Peoples Natural Gas in Newton for 20 years. In 1969, he moved to California to pursue his musical career, where he owned and operated Audas Flooring until retiring in 1999 due to his health.
Surviving are his six children, Jenice Cavin of Sigourney, Pamela Austin of Grinnell, Don Audas Jr. of Akron, Shelly Audas of Hawarden, Tony Audas of Newton, and Angela Audas and Andrea Summers, both of Fairfield; and other relatives.
