HAZEL DONNAN RITES HELD HERE TUESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Donnan were held Tuesday at James funeral home with the Rev. C.E. Kingsley as officiating clergyman.

Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bohstedt. Pallbearers were C.H. Dimit, Ben King, Harry Hartzell, Vern Milgate, Fred Heinle and Floyd Stanley. Burial was at Ewart.

Hazel Bell Donnan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.A. White, was born in Grinnell Feb. 27, 1904, and spent her entire life here and in this vicinity. When a young woman she taught in the rural schools.

On Nov. 5, 1927, she was married to John Donnan. Since her husband's death in 1953, she had made her home here and in Montezuma. Those preceding her in death include her father, husband, a brother and one daughter.

Mrs. Donnan is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Eldon Audas of Grinnell; her mother, Mrs. A.A. White of Montezuma; two brothers, Ernest and C. Raymond White of Grinnell; two sisters, Miss Ruth White of Montezuma and Mrs. Joe Anderson of Kellogg; and three grandchildren.

Following a lingering illness she passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 28, having just passed her 50th birthday.
