MARION KRUMM SERVICES SET

Marion Krumm, 80, of San Rafael, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at Marin General Hospital in San Rafael.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Lord officiating. Burial will be at the Westfield Cemetery.

The son of Henry and Katharina Mathes Krumm, he was born Sept. 11, 1899, near Pella. On March 7, 1925, he was married to Thelma Ruby Gillespie in Grinnell, and following their marriage the couple lived in and around Grinnell.

In 1949, the couple moved to Gibson, later returning to Grinnell. Following Mrs. Krumm's death, Mr. Krumm moved to Spotsylvania, Va., and later to California. He was a member of the Westfield Church.

Survivors include his children, Mrs. James (Elizabeth) McIntosh of Spotsylvania, Va., Lawrence Krumm of San Rafael, Calif., Harvey Krumm of Topock, Ariz., Wesley Krumm of What Cheer, Claude Krumm of Keswick, Mrs. James (Virginia) VanPatten of Madera, Calif., Keith Krumm of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. Barry (Barbara) Buckley of San Jose, Calif.; 36 grandchildren; four brothers, Rudolph of Gilman, Henry of Grinnell, John of Brooklyn and David of Montezuma; and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Katherine) McDowell of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Margueretta Krumm who died in infancy; and six brothers, Adolph, Valentine, Phillip, Jasper, Paul and Jacob Krumm.
