JACOB KRUMM RITES TODAY

Jacob Krumm, 78, of Rte. 2, Grinnell, died Monday evening at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.

Funeral services for Mr. Krumm will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Lord, pastor of the Southeast Warren County United Methodist Church of Milo, officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Earl Bryan. Pallbearers will be Harold Brown, Robert Dale, Dennis Grovenburg, Max L. Jones, James Peak, and Martin Pearce. Burial will be at Westfield Cemetery southwest of Grinnell.

Should friends desire, memorials in Mr. Krumm's name may be made to the Westfield Cemetery and may be left at the Smith Funeral Home.

The son of Henry and Katharina Mathes Krumm, he was born Oct. 29, 1897, north of Pella. Mr. Krumm lived in and around the Westfield community all of his life and farmed on his present farm since 1922. He had been at the Brookhaven Nursing Home since spring. He was a member of the Westfield Church and the Grinnell Odd Fellows Lodge.

Survivors include five brothers and a sister, Marion Krumm of Grinnell, Rudolph Krumm of Gilman, Mrs. Carl (Katherine) McDowell of Grinnell, Henry Krumm of Grinnell, John Krumm of Brooklyn, and David Krumm of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Adolph, Valentine, Phillip, Jasper, and Paul Krumm.
