LENORE STERLING DIES SATURDAY

Funeral services have been scheduled tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10:30 a.m. at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home for Miss Lenore Sterling, 92, who died Saturday evening, June 8, at Friendship Manor in Grinnell.

Miss Sterling was born Oct. 14, 1881, in Hartwick, the daughter of Martin and Mathilda Tinker Sterling. She was educated in the Hartwick and Brooklyn schools.

She spent most of her adult life in Chicago, Ill., moving to Grinnell three years ago to live with her nephew and his family, the Wayne Reamses. While she lived in Chicago, she was employed by the Standard Advertisement Company and by the Science and Industry Museum. She was also a partner in a gift shop in Chicago with a friend, Ines Eaton.

Survivors include a sister, Bertha Wilson of Salem, Ore.

Miss Sterling was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Sterling; and four sisters, Edith and Florence Sterling, Ellen Bacorn, and Belle Reams.

The Rev. John McCallum, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, will officiate at the services. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brooklyn.
