Car Crashed Into Truck; Glenn Hotger and Adolph Halblom Die At Hospital
-----------------------

A car-truck collision on Highway six south of Kellogg Wednesday afternoon claimed the lives of two Kellogg men.

Dead are Adolph A. Halblom, 63, and Glenn Hotger, 43, both of Kellogg.

Hotger, a car salesman for a Newton firm, was demonstrating a used car to Halblom at the time the accident occured. Halblom, driver of the car, attempted to pull out on the main highway yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:15 p.m when the car was struck by a semi-truck driven by Harry Williamson, 37, Joliet, Illinois.

Williamson, driving east with an empty truck, swerved to the shoulder of the road in an effort to avoid collision but smashed head-on into the death car.

Hotger died a short time later at a Newton hospital while Halblom expired at 6:45 p.m. the same evening.

Jasper county sheriff Ed Scoville said that no charges would b filed as a result of the wreck.
