FUNERAL SERVICES FOR WALTER BADGER

Walter Albert Badger, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Badger, was born in Jasper county near Kellogg, Iowa, June 15, 1914.

In 1921 he moved to Grinnell,, Iowa, with his parents where he had made his home on a farm east of the city until his death March 17, 1931.

Walter attended country school until he reached the eighth grade and then entered high school, this year being his Freshman year.

He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, two sisters, Edna and Lela, two brothers, Robert and Cleve, and one grandfather, William Badger Sr. of Marshalltown, also uncles and aunts, and cousins and a host of friends.

Walter was a very loving ambitious and conscientious boy and was loved by all who were associated with him.

The services were held at the W.A. Badger home with Rev. A.B. Cadwell officiating. The Methodist church quartet consisting of E.L. York, Eddie Peterson, Laird Jones and Mr. Stockton sang two numbers, "Wonderful Peace" and "That Beautiful Land."

The pall bearers were six immediate friends of Walter's namely, Carl Ahrens, Arthur Dempster, Laird Sullens, Lester McDowell, Richard Johnson and Raymond Breiting. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Out of town relatives present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Will Rowe of Scranton, Kansas, Mrs. Ellis Badger of Springfield, Minnesota.
