MARY LOUISE BRAL

Mrs. Gust Bral of Colfax passed away at the University hospital at Iowa City, July 21.

Mary Louise Bral was born in Belgium October 10, 1896. In 1922 she married Gus Bral also of Belgium. Soon after their marriage they came to Iowa, first settling on a fram near Brooklyn, Iowa.

A few years later they moved to the vicinity of Grinnell, Iowa, where they farmed for many years. They had one daughter, Margaret, (Mrs. William Henning) who lived at Colfax, Iowa and in order to be near her and her family they quit farming and moved to Colfax, which was her home at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. William Henning, five grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers living in Belgium.

Funeral services were held July 24 in Newton by Rev. J.w. McElnrey. Burial at Colfax cemetery. Their many friends extended their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
