MRS. MCGHGHY RITES ARE HELD

Wanda Winchell McGhghy, 74, of Grinnell died Monday, Oct. 31, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev John Claussen, pastor of the Kellogg Christian Church, and the Rev. John Maze of Grinnell officiating. Organist was Margaret Wheeler, and vocalist was the Rev. John Claussen.

Pallbearers were Ellis Claussen, Jim Evans, Larry Thomas, Dennis Winchell, Dick Winchell, Larry Winchell and Ralph Winchell. Honorary bearers were Fred Johnson, Bob Jones, Harry Smith Sr., Harry Smith Jr., Jim Smith, John Smith, Tom Smith, Bob Winchell, Robert Winchell, Guy Winchell and Wayne Winchell.

Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery at Malcom. Memorials may be made to the Malcom Methodist Church.

The daughter of Ralph and Hazel Garretson Winchell, she was born Oct. 27, 1914, at Malcom. She attended Malcom schools.

She was married to Arthur McGhghy at Montezuma Feb. 28, *1939, and the couple lived in Malcom. Mrs. McGhghy worked as a seamstress at DeLong Sportswear Co. for many years. She was a member of the Malcom Methodist Church and the ladies auxiliary of the church.

Survivors include three brothers, John and Merle Winchell, both of Grinnell, and Walter of Troy, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Robert; three brothers, Charles, Lloyd and Glen; and three sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Edna and Ella Winchell.
