PHYLLIS M. AZEVEDO

Phyllis M. Azevedo, 60, of Petaluma, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died of leukemia Saturday, July 21, in Sacramento, Calif.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in Petaluma.

She was the daughter of Vernie and Lillian Johnson. She attended Grinnell schools, graduating in 1948. She was married to Richard Azevedo in California in 1952.

Mrs. Azevedo is survived by her husband; four children, Steven of Santa Rosa, Calif., Cynthia Pelletti of Rohnert Park, Calif., Rebecca Azevedo of Rohnert Park and Cristina Collins of Galt, Calif.; seven grandchildren; her mother; six sisters, Helen Hauersperger of Gilman, Joan Smith of Dothan, Ala., Betty Cheatham of Dallas, Ga., Bonnie Cowger of Grinnell, Mary Kudej of Grinnell and Sandy Mayo of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and one brother, Keith Johnson of Des Moines.
