From the Leader.

--William Evans Gould was born February 15, 1815, at Dartmouth, Devonshire, England, and died at Malcom, Iowa, January 17, 1904. He was married to Frances Elizabeth Sweeting, July 31, 1839. She died July 31, 1871, in Davenport, Iowa. To them were born nine children. The funeral services were held at the home A.P. Meigs, Tuesday afternoon in the presence of his numerous friends, and was conducted by Rev. Mr. Tanner.
