ROSE BERNSTEIN SERVICES TODAY

Rose Bernstein, 80, of 1120 Reed St. died Monday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted today at Southfield, Mich., with burial at Machpelah Cemetery, Ferndale, Mich. Friends may call the Smith Funeral Home for additioanl information.

The daughter of Solomon David and Rachel Marks Taub, she was born May 3, 1902, in London, England. At the age of 6, she moved with her family to the U.S., attending public schools in Detroit, Mich.

She was married to Meyer Bernstein on Sept. 4, 1921, in Detroit. The couple lived in Miami, Fla., for seven years, then lived in El Paso, Texas, moving to Grinnell in 1978. Mrs. Bernstein was a member of Temple Israel and the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband; her son, Alan M. Bernstein of Grinnell; one grandson; a brother, Louis Taub of Southfield, Mich.; and a sister, Celia Kroll of Oak Park, Mich.
