CONDUCT RITES FOR MRS. ANNA ROBESON
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Robeson, 76, were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at First United Presbyterian church with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus officiating. Mrs. Ed Bartachek was organist.
Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery with Edgar Buchenau, Ross Ramsey, Clem DeMeulenaere, Andrew Calderwood, Jesse Bunnell and Donald Coburn serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Nelson Korns and Mrs. Andrew Calderwood assisted with floral arrangements.
Anna Wahner, daughter of Matthias and Emma Jane Wahner, was born April 11, 1886, at Marengo, and died at St. Francis hospital in Grinnell Feb. 20, 1963. She had suffered a stroke at her home two days previously.
She moved with her parents to the Brooklyn community when she was about one year old and lived in and near Brooklyn the remainder of her life.
On January 29, 1908, she was married to De Witte C. Robeson. The couple farmed for many years before moving into town. Mrs. Robeson was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Pythian Sisters lodge.
She is survived by a brother, Alfred Wahner of Grinnell, and nine nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and one brother.
