GRACE SUTTON SERVICES HELD

Grace Sutton, 90, of Montezuma died Thursday, March 31, at Friendship Manor in Grinnell.

Graveside rites were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chester Cemetery north of Grinnell, with the Rev. Kenneth Wallace, pastor of the Newburg-Chester Parish, officiating. The Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Henry and Rilla Reynolds Sutton, she was born Sept. 30, 1897, at Beelick, Ky. She moved with her family to the Victor area and later lived near Grinnell. She attended the School for the Deaf at Council Bluffs and had lived at the Poweshiek County Care Facility in Montezuma since 1936.

She is survived by her brother, Beckham Sutton of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles; and three sisters, Fanny Rempp, Beatrice Lizzio and Hazel Jones.
