JERRY DALPIAZ

Jerry L. Doyle Dalpiaz, 56, of Peoria Heights, Ill., formerly of Grinnell, died of cancer Friday, Nov. 22, at her home.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, with the Rev. Daniel I. Ogata officiating. Organist will be Alice Renaud. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Dorris and Helen Vorberg Doyle, she was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Osceola. She moved to Grinnell in 1937 and attended rural school in the Oak Grove area south of Grinnell. She was a graduate of Grinnell High School, and following her education she moved to Peoria.

She was married to Lou Dalpiaz Aug. 23, 1958, in Peoria, and the couple lived in Peoria Heights. She was employed at the Peoria Civic Center and was in charge of ticket sales and promotion.

She is survived by her husband; her mother, Helen Doyle of Grinnell; two daughters, Laura Lockhart of Eureka, Ill., and Connie Wattles of Maroa, Ill.; one son, Mark of Peoria Heights; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, James J. Doyle of Grinnell and William E. Doyle of Napa, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Joan Doyle.
