MRS. COOPER SLAGLE ENDS HER OWN LIFE

Mrs. Cooper Slagle died at about 6:45 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home, 616 Spring street, as a result of a self inflicted bullet wound from a 32 calibre revolver. The bullet pierced her heart. She had been a sufferer for some time from a mental disease.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Gladys, aged 14, Herbert 8 and Hazel 5.

Mrs. Slagle before her marriage was Edna *Guffie. She was born in Gap Creek, Ky., and would have been 33 years old June 22 next. She was married in Grinnell in 1915.

Dr. E.S. Evans, county coroner, was called but decided that no inquest was necessary.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon, beginning at 2:30 o'clock from the Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. William Welsh. Burial will be in the Rock Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers: Claude Keeton, Ern Alley, Cullen Gregory, James Simpson, Ralph Elliott and Isaac Sharp.
