ALICE ENOCHS, 83, DIES SUDDENLY AT MAYFLOWER HOME

Miss Alice Lillian Enochs, 83, died suddenly in her apartment at the Mayflower Home early this morning (Thursday.)

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Dewey, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Graceland cemetery in Creston.

She was the daughter of R. David and Alice Cool Enochs and was born Nov. 14, 1877 near Yates City, Ill. Shorty after her birth the family moved to Shenandoah and later to Creston where she attended the public schools and graduated from Creston high school.

Miss Enochs continued to live in Creston, caring for her parents and a brother in the family home until 1947 when she moved to Grinnell to share a home with her sister, Miss Maude Enochs. In 1955 they moved to their apartment in the Mayflower Home.

She was a member of a family of three boys and two girls and is survived by her sister, Maude of Grinnell.

Miss Enochs was a member of the Congregational church in Creston and Grinnell.
