NONA HOFFSTATTER FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED TODAY

Mrs. Leona Mae (Nona) Hoffstatter, 59, of 1014 Center Street, died Thursday evening at her home.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Monday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Custer, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Pallbearers were Lloyd Large, Bill Harness, Terry Matteson, Larry Lemke, Roger Haines, and Ralph Lemke. Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Don Sowerwine.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Born in Poweshiek county near Victor on Dec. 9th, 1903, she was the daughter of Almond H. and Minnnie Craft Stanley. She attended the rural schools of the area.

In 1935, she was united in marriage with Roy Hoffstatter. To this union were born five children: Margaret Hoffstatter of Glenwood; Mrs. James (Louise) Lemke of Grinnell; Richard Hoffstatter, deceased; and twin daughters who died in infancy.

In addition to her two daughters, Mrs. Hoffstatter is survived by three grandchildren and one brother, Lloyd Stanley of Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy in 1957; her son, Richard; her twin daughters; and one sister, Erma Stanley Wheeler.
