Obituary dated April 11, 1911

--Sidney C. Conger, an old-time resident of this vicinity died at Gilman at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.F. Sult, Sunday night, of pneumonia, in his 77th year. He was born in New York state. In Lee county, Ill., he was married to Lovilla Kingsley in 1866., and the same year he came to Poweshiek county, residing near here for 32 years. In 1898 he moved to Mahaska, Kansas. Mrs. Conger died there a year ago and for the past year he has lived with his daughter at Gilman. The burial is at Mahaska.
