MRS. H.E. CARROLL

Mrs. H.E. Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Halstead, died early this morning at the Community Hospital, following an accident several days ago when she received a broken limb and other severe injuries when thrown from a buggy by a fractious horse. Funeral services will be held either at the Halstead home, 1507 Summer street, or the Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.C. Wasser.

Mrs. Carroll was born May 6, 1901, and was married February 15, 1921. She is mourned by her husband and an infant daughter, Margaret Katherine, as well as by her parents, their immediate family, and many friends.

HELEN HALSTEAD CARROLL

Helen Halstead Carroll, wife of Herman Eugene Carroll, was born near What Cheer, Iowa, May 6, 1901, and departed this life April 4, 1922 at the Community hospital, Grinnell.

With the family she came to Grinnell township and started her school life at No. 7, Grinnell township. After the family moved to Grinnell she attended Grinnell High School one year.

She was married to Paul Wood, on May 26, 1919, he living only a short time. A little daughter, Margaret Katherine, who was born Jan. 5, 1921 is left.

Helen and Eugene Carroll were married February 1, 1921.

The details of the sad accident are well known to all.

She leaves to mourn her, a husband, a little daughter, her father and mother, grandparents, three brothers and four sisters.

Helen was of a sweet disposition and made friends wherever she went. She has gone to that land where there is no pain nor sorrow, there to meet her Savior in that Heavenly Home on High.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. W.C. Wasser, were held at the Methodist church Thursday morning. Three hymns, "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows," "Jesus Lover of My Soul," and "Abide With Me," were sung by a quartet composed of Winifred Wheeler, Veta Baker, Russell Phillips and Walter Reed.
