GAUMER SERVICES HELD

Darlene Clark Gaumer, 76, of Indianola, formerly of Grinnell, died Monday, July 9, in Indianola.

The daughter of Ted and Ida Bishop Clark, she was born Sept. 6, 1903, in Villisca. She attended school at Murray and at Des Moines University. She later taught in Madison County.

She was married to Wayne M. Gaumer on June 26, 1922. The couple had six sons.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaumer lived in the Hopeville area for six years, in the Arispe area for 14 years, in Omaha, Neb., for three years, in Osceola for seven years, and in Grinnell for three years.

Mrs. Gaumer had lived for the past 15 years in Indianola, where she was active in the First United Methodist Church and many organizations. She served as house mother for Delta Delta Delta sorority for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne, in 1964; and four brothers, Jim, Ted, Paul and Dick.

Survivors include her six sons, Keith of Indianola, Robert of Chico, Calif., Donald of Indianola, Paul of Osceola, Philip of Kimberling City, Mo., and Larry of Indianola, and a brother, Gene Clark of Indianola.

Burial was at the Hopeville Cemetery.
