CARRIE REDRICK DIES AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. Carrie D. Redrick, 83, of 729 Center St., died early Sunday morning at Grinnell General Hospital West.

The daughter of Relighy and Julia Knight Revels, Mrs. Redrick was born Feb. 19, 1886 in Rome, Texas. She went to school in Wewoka, Okla.

She was married to James Singleton, who preceded her in death. To this union three sons were born. One son, Jefferson Singleton of Wichita, Kan., survives.

On Dec. 16, 1932, she married Robert Riley Redrick in Chicago. He was employed by the Rock Island Railroad before his death on Jan. 31, 1945.

Mrs. Redrick had made her home in Grinnell since 1932. She was a member of the Northside Friends Church.

Surviviors include her son, Jefferson; one granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry Ann Clark of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers--Charlie and Clem; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Redrick was preceded in death by her husband; two sons; and three brothers--Sammy, William and Erwin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home with burial in Hazelwood Cemetery.
