MRS. MARY E. BEARD

Mrs. Mary E. Beard, formerly of Grinnell, died yesterday in Des Moines, where she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. R.B. Johnson. Mrs. Beard was the widow of *L.T. Beard, whose body rests in Hazelwood cemetery. The body will be brought to Grinnell Thursday on the early afternoon train and will be taken at once to the cemetery, where it will be interred with brief services at the grave. Although it has been ten or twelve years since Mrs. Beard left Grinnell, she is still remembered by many of the older residents who will learn of her death with regret.
