JEFFERY RODRIGUEZ

Jeffery Rodriguez, 24, of Burlington, formerly of Brooklyn, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1988, in University Hospital, Iowa City, Ia., of injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident in Burlington on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Funeral Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with Rev. Kalen K. Fristad, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. The organist was Mrs. Sybil Kelley. Brent Earley gave an eulogy. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Laird VanRenterghem. Honorary Casket-Bearers were Trelys Mitchell, Fran Roth, Greg Haack, Craig Mitchell, Marty Roth, and Steve Griffith. Casket-Bearers were Gary Lee Timm, Stan Hopwood, John Johnston, Rod Weiss, Mike Bunn, and Dean Curtis. Interment was in the Brooklyn Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Jeffery Alan Rodriguez, son of Alfonso Rodriguez and Pamela Lawson Nail, was born July 8, 1964, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Jeff was a resident for the most of his life in Brooklyn and also resided in Texas. He received his education in BGM schools, Brooklyn, and in Texas, graduating from Olton High School, Olton, Tex. For the past six months Jeff lived in Burlington where he was employed by Wal-Mart.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Pamela Nail of Brooklyn; his father, Alfonso Rodriguez of Cedar Rapids; three half-brothers, Michael and Robert Nail of Southland, Tex., and Robin Rodriguez; six half-sisters, Meshelle, Liesa, and Kim Nail, all of Brooklyn, Valery, Shawn, and Ronnie Rodriguez; and his grandmother, Mrs. Kay Lawson of Brooklyn.
