RAFAEL RODRIGUEZ

Rafael E. Rodriguez, 44, of rural Kellogg died Saturday, March 9, of injuries he sustained in a traffic accident north of Kellogg.

A memorial service was conducted Tuesday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, with the Rev. Mike Johnson of the Kellogg Christian Church officiating. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City, with the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Burial was in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

The son of Guadalupe and Marie Escobedo Rodriguez, he was born March 2, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas. He was employed by D and D Feeds in Grinnell.

Surviving are his mother; one son, Justin of Michigan; two brothers,Jose of Mount Morris, Mich., and Ruperto of Sioux City; and five sisters, Cathy Campbell of Ventura, Delores Orozco of Clear Lake, Consuelo Magana of Houston, Texas, Fransisca Rodriguez of Mason City and Gloria Rodriguez of St. Paul, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Guadalupe Jr.
