HAROLD E. MOTHERSPAU

Harold E. Motherspau, son of Harry and Dora Harlow Motherspau, was born Feb. 24, 1903, at Brooklyn, and died Aug. 27 at a Whitney, Texas hospital. He had been seriously ill since July.

He grew up in Brooklyn and attended school here. He worked as a mechanic and as a truck driver.

At Marshalltown, May 27, 1925, he was united in marriage to Ella McCarl and to this union were born seven children, four girls and three boys.

Following their marriage, they moved to Dayton, Ohio. They moved back to Brooklyn in 1929 and lived here until 1942. At this time they returned to Trotwood, Ohio, and lived there until his retirement in 1963 when they moved to Whitney, Texas.

Mr. Motherspau was a member of St. Marks United Methodist church, Trotwood, Ohio.

Preceding him in death were one son and one daughter.

Surviving are his widow, Ella; two sons, Larry at home, and Gerald of New Carlise, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Roberta Robinson of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Dorothy White of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Dora Richmond of Ft. Worth, Texas; and 22 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at Bramer Funeral Home with Rev. E. Edward Philgreen officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Bartachek, Fred Bartachek, Owen Wenger, Ernest Andes, Lloyd Hall and Edward Hall.
