Warren was born on June 29, 1939, in Grinnell to Fred Lloyd Weaver, Sr. and Ida Madeline Barr. He was raised in the Chester Township north of Grinnell, where he attended country school and began his passion of playing baseball. He graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1957.

He was united in marriage with Rosemary Davis on Nov. 18, 1963, at the United Methodist Church in Maryville, Mo. The couple lived and farmed near Gilman and later moved to the Chester Township, where they raised their children and farmed. He drove a semi for Gene Campbell's C&K Transfer, Haworth Trucking, and for Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors.

Warren was a lifelong baseball fan--playing as a youngster at country school and at the Chester Church Youth Group, and as an adult playing and coaching fast pitch softball. He closely followed the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Grinnell Tigers; enjoyed league bowling, card games, Canadian fishing trips, reunions of the GHS class of 1957 and swapping stories; and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.

Warren is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosemany Weaver of Grinnell; three children, Scott Weaver of Raleigh, N.C., Angela Raue of Belle Plaine, and Robin Isaacson of Huxley; five grandchildren; and his siblings, Fred Weaver, Jr. of Grinnell, Dolores Harrison of Tucson, Ariz., Marilyn Merkel of Plano, Texas, and Roger Weaver of Williamsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Garry Weaver in 2009.
