WILLARD SPECKNER FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED TODAY

Willard H. Speckner, 60, of Grinnell, died early Friday at a local rest home where he had been under care the last two months. He formerly lived on a farm northeast of Grinnell.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Monday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. L.V. Kuebrich, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic church, officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers were William Gill, Floyd Heishman, Edmond Kaisand, Raymond Schultz, Frank Vogel, and Victor Vogel.

Rosary was held Sunday night at Smith Funeral Home. Burial was in Sheridan Township cemetery northeast of Grinnell.

He was the son of Joseph and Flora Barkman Speckner and was born Dec. 19th, 1903, at Seymour, Ind. He had lived in the Grinnell area the last 25 years.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Speckner of Toledo and Joe Speckner of Silver City, N.M.; two daughters, Mrs. George (Lois) Bremner of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mrs. Richard (Ruth Ann) Barnes of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Also surviving are his three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Ambrose Schrenk and Alpha Speckner, both of Seymour, Ind., Mrs. Les (Sarah) Mehlin of Rte. 1, Malcom and Mrs. Tony (Alma) Gill of Rte. 1, Gilman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
