HARLAN R. INMAN DIES AT HOME

Harlan R. Inman, 65, lifelong resident of Grinnell, died suddenly Tuesday evening at his home at 1027 West Street.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. Dr. G.S. Bruland of the Methodist church and Rev. C.E. Kingsley of the First Baptist church will officiate.

Organist will be Mrs. Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers will be Roy Shaffer, Thomas Godfrey, Lloyd Henderson, Harry Bitcon, Clarence Doud and Ralph Bailey. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

Odd Fellows Lodge No. 358 of Grinnell will conduct fraternal graveside services.

The son of Grant and Sarah Wadsworth Inman, Mr. Inman was born on December 20, 1892, at Grinnell. He attended public schools of Grinnell and was a carpenter by trade. For the past several years he was employed by the Bowers Construction Co.

On September 8, 1923, he was married to Nellie J. Furber at Montezuma. Mr. Inman was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Fidelity Encampment. He served for the past nine years as Grand Treasurer of the Encampment for the state of Iowa. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War I with the field artillery.

Survivors include his widow and three daughters: Mrs. Harold (Doris) Jones of Grinnell, Wilma Inman of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. James (Dorothy) O'Brien of Miami, Fla. Other survivors include five grandchildren and two brothers, S.W. of Grinnell and John of Los Angeles, Calif.
