CLARENCE F. CLEEREMANS

Clarence F. Cleeremans, 74, of 4121 Woodland Drive in Brooklyn, Ia., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 26, 1988, in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness.

He was born April 1, 1914, in Green Bay, Wisc., the son of August P. and Elizabeth (Nachtwy) Cleeremans. He graduated from East High Green Bay. He also played for the Green Bay Packer Band many years. He married Alyce H. Denniger on August 16, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minn. He worked as a salesman for Bankers Advertising in Iowa City.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judith Anne Murken of Orland Park, Ill., and Ruthmarie Polansky of Knoxville, Ia.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were held 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Pastor Ronald Plfuger of Bethany Lutheran Church. Burial: Garden of the Last Supper, Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Instead of flowers, memorial donations were made to the American Cancer Society, 603 10th St. S.E., Cedar Rapids, Ia. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, 4200 First Avenue N.E., Cedar Rapids, Ia.
