MRS. RUTHELLA REITER DIES IN LOS ANGELES

The following is an obituary of Mrs. Ruthelle Reiter, former Grinnell resident, who passed away Easter morning in Los Angeles, Calif.

Ermena Ruthella Stafford was born March 27, 1857, in Tyre, N.Y., daughter of Adah and Thomas Stafford. She came to Grinnell with her parents in 1868, and resided in Grinnell until 1920, when she went to California to live with her daughter, Adah, until her death.

She was united in marriage to Harlan Reiter in 1881, who preceded her in death in July, 1914.

She was a member of the M.E. church from girlhood until going to California.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in California, conducted by Rev. Mr. Miller, and burial was in Inglewood cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Mrs. Adah Reiter Schadel and two grandchildren, Bobbie and Mary Ruth; also four sisters, Mrs. Julia Ingraham of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Stella Reiter, Miss Margaret Stafford and Mrs. Nelle Keister of Grinnell.
