LAST RITES HELD FOR GEO. BRADLEY

Funeral services for George Bradley, who died Monday at Marengo, were held here Wednesday at the Methodist church at three o'clock. Rev. Fred Evans of the Marengo Methodist church, conducted the services, assisted by Rev. George Blagg of Grinnell. A Marengo quartet composed of Mrs. R.E. Hatter, Mrs. Fred Evans, Richard Bryant and Mr. Evans sang. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

George Archibald Bradley, son of George and Martha Bradley, was born in Londonderry, Ireland, December 2, 1884, and died at his home in Marengo, Iowa, September 3, 1928, at the age of forty-three years, nine months, and one day. With his parents he came to the United States, to Grinnell, Iowa, at the age of nine, and had lived in Grinnell the rest of his life with the exception of nine years.

On March the first, 1908, he was married to Imogene Stafford. To this union were born four children: Douglas, George, Jr., Glatha, and John, all at home.

Mr. Bradley was a member of the Methodist church since shortly after coming to America, and transferred his membership soon after coming to Marengo. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias, Pythian Sisters, and Woodmen fraternal orders.

He leaves to mourn his going, his widow and four children; four sisters, Anna E. Bradley, in Ireland, Mrs. Florence Miller, Mrs. Jeanetta McBain, and Mrs. Edith Ellis, all of Los Angeles, California; three brothers, Thomas Bradley, of Grinnell, Iowa, and Robert and Alfred Bradley, both of Los Angeles, California; an uncle, George Hays, of Grinnell, Iowa, several nieces and nephews and many other more distant relatives and friends.
