EMMA SEIBERTH, 85, LIFETIME RESIDENT, DIES WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Emma Rose Seiberth, 85, of 415 4th Avenue, widow of Lewis Samuel Seiberth, died early Wednesday at a local hospital. She had not been in good health the last few years and had been hospitalized for several months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Custer, minister of the Grinnell Methodist church, officiating. Vocal music will be provided by Mrs. Noel Taylor, accompanied by Mrs. Willard Heffner at the organ.

Flower bearers will be Mrs. Edmund I. Green and Mrs. Fred E. Taylor. Pallbearers will be Virgil L. Case, Edmund I. Green, George R. Mowitt, W.J. Osborn, Fred E. Taylor and M.W. Walter. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

The daughter of Wilbur and Rose Kinzler Bradley, she was born Nov. 4th, 1880, in Poweshiek county. She was married to Lewis S. (Grab) Seiberth on July 30th, 1902, at Grinnell.

Mrs. Seiberth had been a resident of Grinnell for 65 years and was a member of the Methodist church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Daughters of Union Veterans.

Her husband was a longtime member of the Grinnell Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include her son, Laurel E. Seiberth of Burbank, Calif.; one granddaughter, Miss Sherry Seiberth; and two sisters, Mrs. Grant (Edna) Wherry of Deep River and Mrs. S.W. (Ruth) Inman of Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis on Aug. 9th, 1954; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bischof, Mrs. Etta Moore and Miss Mary Bradley; and three brothers, Frank, Henry and George Bradley.
