CLIFFORD P. HEISHMAN

Clifford P. Heishman, 94, a Malcom-area farmer, died Monday, Aug. 14, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Clinic where he had been a patient since suffering a stroke Aug. 13.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday in the chapel of Mason-Hand Funeral Home in Tama. A prayer service was conducted Wednesday evening. Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

The son of Phillip and Catherine Miller Heishman, he was born May 29, 1895, in the Sheridan community. He attended local schools.

On Feb. 11, 1914, he was married in Des Moines to Lulu Marie Moyer of rural Tama. The couple farmed south of Tama in Sheridan Township.

Mr. Heishman is survived by a son, Charles of rural Malcom; a daughter, Gladys Lenhart of Tama; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lester of rural Malcom. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1970; a son, Kenneth; his parents; seven brothers and five sisters.
