DIED.

FRANK WINSLOW WHEELER

Frank Winslow Wheeler died in Minneapolis on Saturday morning at the age of 41 years. He had been ill for about three years and had been confined to his bed for the past year. The body, accompanied by Mr. Wheeler's mother, Mrs. C.B. Wheeler, was brought to Grinnell yesterday morning and was taken to Malcom, where funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church, by Rev. Mr. Smith. Burial was at Malcom.

Mr. Wheeler was born near Malcom where his father, Charles Wheeler, was killed in the cyclone of 1882. The family moved to Grinnell when Frank was a small boy, and made their home here for about twenty years. Mr. Wheeler was well known here and for years was connected with the Spaulding Manufacturing company, being employed in the offices and also for number of years traveling for the firm, selling carriages. During the past few years he has been in failing health and his final illness was a prolonged one. He was a member of the Elks lodge and was known to be a likeable as well as successful young business man.

The following people from Grinnell attended the funeral: E.B. Brande, John Manly, W.J. Nelson, WIiliam Gardner, E.J. Bayer, G.H. McMurray, H.F. McMurray, Claire Manatt, H.I. Eichhorn, A.J. Ewart, F.L. Abel, Ed Wheatley and James Lynch, most of whom are members of the Elks lodge. The pallbearers were: John Manly, W.J. Nelson, William Gardner, E.J. Bayer, Claire Manatt and James Lynch.

Besides the mother whose home is in Minneapolis, a brother, Harry Wheeler of Hinckley, Minn., and a brother-in-law, W.E. Bopp of Minneapolis were present at the funeral.
