MAURICE W. BOATMAN

Maurice W. Boatman of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Grinnell, died Dec. 18 at Del Webb Extended Care in Sun City.

Funeral services were held Dec. 21 in Sun City.

A native of Montezuma, Mr. Boatman graduated from Iowa State Teachers College and earned graduate degrees from Columbia University and the University of Michigan. He was a librarian for Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., and Grinnell College. He also worked in the reference departmant of the New York Public Library.

He moved to Arizona in 1976 and was a member of the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, the R.H. Johnson Ceramic Club and the Kiwanis Club.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; a daughter, Jean Jamgochian of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Leslie of Adel; and four grandchildren.
