PORTER WINTERS IS STRICKEN WHILE AT MASONIC BREAKFAST
Porter Winters, operator of a locker service in Brooklyn and a former Grinnell resident, suffered a stroke while attending the Masonic breakfast here Sunday morning. He was rushed to the Community hospital where he passed away at 11:55 a.m.
Mr. Winters for a number of years conducted a filling station at the corner of Fifth avenue and Main street on the location now occupied by the Dr. Korfmacher and Brobyn office but has been away from Grinnell for a good many years. He is remembered as a jovial and friendly man. His wife, and daughter, Mrs. Bob Graham, live in Brooklyn.
