LAKOSE RITES HELD AT BROOKLYN

Funeral rites were conducted at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Brooklyn, Saturday morning for Morris Joseph LaKose, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his residence, 407 Jackson St., Brooklyn, Thursday noon.

The Rev. B.M. Kamerick officiated at the mass and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Organist was Kathy Fraker. Helping care for flowers were the Earl Wheelers and Wallace Edelens. Casket bearers were Achiel Wauters, Ronald DeVilder, Leonard DeVilder, John LaKose, Lawrence DeVilder and Vernon LaKose.

The son of Camiel and Kudulia LaKose, he was born in Moline, Ill., Oct. 14, 1901 and he moved to this area with his family when he was eight years old.

Mr. LaKose married the former Elizabeth DeVilder Feb. 9, 1927, at St. Patrick's Church in Brooklyn. To this union two children were born. He had farmed in the Montezuma and Brooklyn areas until moving to Brooklyn two years ago.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Van Hamme of Victor; a son, Marvin of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Springville and Raymond of Montezuma; two sisters, Mrs. Remi Wauters and Mrs. Pete Van Leare, Brooklyn.
